Present Continuous or Present Simple? Exercise 1
Welcome to our interactive grammar exercise! This practice will help you understand the difference between the present continuous (I am doing) and present simple (I do) tenses.
Instructions: Fill in each blank with the correct form of the verb in parentheses. Use either the present simple or present continuous tense. Pay attention to capitalization and punctuation. Both contractions (I’m, he’s) and full forms (I am, he is) are accepted.
“What (you/do) right now?” “I (study) for my exam.”
She (not/work) on Sundays because the office (close).
Look! The baby (crawl) for the first time!
My brother (usually/cook) dinner, but tonight I (help) him.
