Present Continuous Affirmative & Negative Exercise 1
Practice using the present continuous (progressive) tense in both affirmative and negative forms. This exercise will help you understand how to talk about actions happening now or temporary situations.
Remember: The present continuous is formed with am/is/are + verb-ing for affirmative, and am not/isn’t/aren’t + verb-ing for negative forms.
Instructions: Fill in each blank with only the verb phrase (the auxiliary + verb-ing part) in present continuous. Do not repeat the subject.
Example: “She _____ dinner.” → Enter “is cooking” or “‘s cooking“
