Task 1: Identify Arctic Weather Nouns

Instructions: Click on the underlined words to mark them as singular (blue) or plural (green).

A powerful arctic storm is approaching, bringing a blizzard with some snowdrifts expected to reach 3 feet. There will be much sleet and many icicles forming on trees. The temperature will drop to -20°C, with a lot of wind making it feel like -40°C.

Meteorologists warn of little visibility due to some fog mixed with heavy snow. Residents should prepare for several power outages and a thick layer of ice on roads. An emergency shelter will open downtown.

The storm will last three days, with continuous precipitation throughout. Avoid travel unless absolutely necessary – many accidents have already been reported. There won’t be any sunlight until the system passes.
